Engineering firm · Gaborone, Botswana

Software, AI and engineering design for Botswana businesses.

Two service lines under one roof: AI & software engineering, and engineering design across electronics, mechanical and control systems. We scope the work in plain language, design it properly, and hand over the files.

How we work

Scope, design, build, handover.

The same four steps whether the job is a web platform or a control panel.

  1. 01

    Scope

We sit with you and work out what the system actually has to do, what it must cost, and what is out of scope. You get that in writing before anything is built.

  2. 02

    Design

We produce the design — architecture, schematics, models, control philosophy — and review it with you before committing to build.

  3. 03

    Build

We build and test against the scope. You see progress as it happens, not in one reveal at the end.

  4. 04

    Handover

You receive the source code, design files, drawings and documentation, plus training on how to run it. The files are yours. There is no lock-in.

Capability

What we've built.

We are a new engineering practice and we do not have client case studies to show yet. What we can show is work our team has designed and built. Judge us on the specifics.

Production management SaaS

A platform for apparel manufacturers that tracks every order from consultation through cutting, sewing, QC and dispatch, with role-based access for floor staff and management.

Multi-vendor e-commerce platform

A marketplace supporting multiple independent sellers, with integrated payments, order routing and vendor payouts.

Booking and scheduling products

Live booking and scheduling systems handling availability, confirmations and customer notifications.

Loan management system

Built to Botswana regulatory requirements, covering application, affordability assessment, disbursement, repayment schedules and statements.

Sensor-based monitoring hardware

Embedded monitoring built on Arduino and ESP32 — sensor selection, circuit and firmware, logging equipment conditions and reporting them to a dashboard.

Two of these run as live products.

Who runs it

Led by a practising engineer.

MechaNova's Managing Director is a Mechatronics and Industrial Instrumentation engineer, with working experience across instrumentation, SCADA and PLC systems, embedded electronics and mechanical design.

That background is why the two service lines sit together. The person specifying a sensor is the person writing the software that reads it, so nothing falls into the gap between disciplines.
